Frequently Asked Questions

How would you describe your photography style?

I would say I lean towards a documentary style. Candid, real and unscripted moments. That doesn’t mean that I don’t pose or give guidance; when it comes time to take the formal group photos and portraits I give plenty of direction but throughout the day but focus on capturing the in-between moments.

My editing style is film inspired. I love using shadows and silhouettes, warm tones, contrast, vibrant colors to create images that allow you to relive that very moment.

How far in advance should we book with you?

As soon as you book your venue! I only take a limited number of weddings a year and dates book up very quickly so it’s important communicate with me as soon as you secure your date and venue.

How many hours of coverage do couples usually book you for?

The vast majority of weddings I shoot are either 8 or 10 hour days, usually starting around 12-2pm and finishing around 9-10pm.

How many hours of coverage do couples usually book you for?

The majority of weddings I shoot are either 8 or 10 hour days. Depending on the time of your ceremony and the time of year, my team will either start around 10am or 12pm. I work with my clients in depth to ensure they are booking the correct amount of hours to accommodate their needs and budget!

Are we able to change the hours of coverage as our wedding day approaches?

Absolutely! It’s hard to know, so far in advance, exactly how many hours of coverage you’ll need. There will be plenty of communication around your wedding day timeline before your big day so if adjustments need to be made, we will make them.

What does your editing process look like?

I make adjustments to tone, white balance, exposure, cropping & straightening, and black and white conversion.

I do light retouching to your photos to remove blemishes, however I do not (by default) edit out moles, freckles, scars, etc. as they are permanent markings on your face. If you wish to have anything like that removed please let me know prior to the editing process.

* Please note that the retouching process does not include things such as removing braces, adding or removing people from a photo, replacing faces, or body contouring.

What is an Associate Photographer?

Lamb Associate Photographers are professional wedding photographers who shoot in a similar style as myself. All of my associates are people I know and work on a regular basis. This is the first condition for them to work with me. Associates focus on shooting, while editing is done by myself. This ensures consistency across the board. The only difference is the person who takes your photos on the wedding day.

Why are Associate Photographer Packages cheaper than your standard packages?

Associates packages are usually lower because they don’t have to bear the cost of running a business themselves (advertising, marketing, image storage, etc.) and time (editing, bookkeeping, social media, etc.). They just need to do what they do best (taking photos) and leave the rest to me. Thus, this is more cost-effective for them and why their prices tend to be lower.

What is a Minimony?

A smaller, more intimate wedding that takes place on your planned wedding date. It's a mini wedding ceremony that usually lasts one to two hours and has only a handful of people in attendance. This could also be referred to as a courthouse wedding.

What is a micro wedding?

A micro wedding is an intimate celebration, typically with no more than 50 guests. They still feature time-honored traditions that make a wedding day special like ceremony, cake cutting and reception but on a much smaller scale.
